By Ruth Henriquez Lyon I used it every day for years (can not remember how much - but at least four years). I recently purchased a new just because I was afraid to scratch my floor, because the reels are not as good as before. I moved the old on my desktop in the basement, and use of the new important areas of life. I have three dogs (previously four) and two house rabbits, they all go through times of heavy shedding. During that time, I sometimes certain areas twice a day a vacuum. There was never any maintenance problems with this vacuum. The suction is strong enough for me to get my rag rugs and carpets to make, and the rollers do not scratch my wood floors. It's easy on my back, conveniently converts to a hand vacuum and is easy to carry and use at any time (not a dull course of a long handle). One reviewer wrote that this vacuum is hard to clean, I clean mine by dumping the bulk of waste in the trash, then vacuum the filter periodically with my Kenmore heavy duty vacuum cleaner. The room has a lot of dust, so even if my pet to spread much, I do not want to empty more than once every 2-3 days. I have this model, a 3106-1 - the Bissell Featherweight Bagless, and a very similar model from the same manufacturer (both are manufactured in China), the 38B1-3 - the Bissell 3-in-1 Vac ... These are almost identical and cost the same locally and on the web ... I say "almost identical", as they weigh the same, same length of the cord the same ergonomics (handle, cord storage, assembly, secretion, etc.), and similar cravings ... rest assured that this model works as well or better than the 3-in-1 .. but here are the differences - this model has a 1.2 engine, while the 3-in-1 has a motor 2A - nod to the 3-in-one - both models are equipped with a corner tool, such as 3-in- one - the same score - this model has a matte cartridge, so you can see how much dirt was vac'd, while the 3-in-1 Translucent - nod to the 3-in-1 - a star to me - both models are easy to empty - the same score - spare parts, accessories and manuals are available online at Bissell - good job! But replacing the dust filter 3-in-1 is $ 3 cheaper (2.99 dollars against $ 5.9 99)! Alludes to the 3-in-one - both models lack a lanyard hole or ring in the handle for easy storage - both slides off the wall no more than if you try to save up - what was the designer thought it? Hell, even the Swiffer Vac little crank ring (and it is a worthless POS - avoid!)
