Dirt Devil Accucharge 15.6 Volt Cordless Bagless Stick Vac with ENERGY STAR Battery Charger, BD20035RED
Dirt Devil has developed a new energy efficient ENERGY STAR qualified line of cordless cleaning products. The Accucharge System protects batteries from degradation, meaning a longer battery life and effective runtime throughout its lifetime. Now charging twice as fast-- so you won't have to wait as long between uses. Plus, special AccuCharge Circuitry constantly monitors the unit until the charge is complete and then reduces power to a trickle in order to complete and maintain the charge. This results in a reduction of energy consumption by 70%!

Energy Star qualified Powerful 15.6 Volt Cordless Vac All Surface Cleaning: Motorized Brush for carpet cleaning and brushroll shutoff for safe bare floor cleaning Foldaway handle for convenient storage
Cordless convenience with an Energy Star rating! The AccuCharge system charges twice as fast so you can be ready for any quick pick up with 15.6 volts of cordless cleaning power. Move easily from carpet to hard floors with an on/off brushroll switch at your fingertips. When the unit is charging, the AccuCharge circuitry constantly monitors the battery. Once the battery is charged, power is reduced to a trickle to maintain the battery without drawing extra power. This remarkable system reduces energy consumption by 70% and extends the life of the battery. Product Features AccuCharge Technology Energy Star Compliant Rotating Brush 15.6 Volts Cordless Bagless Design Easy Empty Dirt Cup Lightweight - Weighs Less than 6 Pounds Swivel Head Folding Handle Allergen Filtration Traditional Ni-Cad Battery Charging Systems When traditional Ni-Cad battery systems are kept plugged into the wall, energy (or current) is constantly being pumped into the unit. Even after the battery is fully charged, it still continues to supply it energy. This sends heat to the batteries and “cooks” them, damaging the battery cells. This damage to the batteries gradually decreases run time and also wastes energy. AccuCharge Technology The AccuCharge system constantly monitors the unit’s batteries and charging status. This “smart charger” recognizes when the unit is fully charged and then reduces power to the unit to a trickle charge for maintenance. This prevents power and heat from constantly being pumped into the batteries and “cooking” them. AccuCharge also uses an efficient switch mode charging adaptor, which combined with AccuCharge circuitry utilizes less energy. In a recent study, the use of Dirt Devil’s acclaimed AccuCharge technology showed to maintain charge more than twice as long as regular batter charging technology. Since the AccuCharge Stick Vac can easily be set on its dock for charging, there is no need to worry about loose batteries or needing spares. ENERGY STAR certified AccuCharge technology will reduce electricity usage to only a trickle once your battery is fully charged. You can store your stick vac on the charger without having to worry about wasting energy, space, or money.
Guest 228 226 most useful found the following review. Stick big void! By D. Ackley who bought this '09 December after two weeks of research on light vacuum. I needed one that could handle: lots of dog hair (golden retriever / mix tip!), Four children, the usual kitchen scraps, carpet, hardwood, tile and carpet nap on low (whew!). We also have a wood stove, and often have small leaves and wood from the trees to be taken home. In the past I have tried Bissel Sweep Turbo (kept breaking) and shark (new version with a brush on one side, the battery died after a year and brush were so full of hair that was a pain to try to keep it clean). Tired of the batteries die or are dying VAC! A major problem with vacuum cleaners is that the battery wirelessly inevitably be extinguished within a year because of "overload" it. I really liked that this vaccine is a "smart charger" that just makes you need the vaccine and reduces the load to a minimum so that the battery will not overload the charger base is the size of a shovel and has the vaccine in site and therefore have a place in the plant that you can park. Handle folds down, if that makes a difference in storage options. First, the "cons" plastic body feels a little weak, it is difficult (but possible) on the measures, the whole body of the vaccine and not only turns the nozzle when you go back and take a little getting used to, ergonomic handle is and begins to feel the hand of vaccines "heavy" after a while (you can still use the vacuum with the index finger wrapped around the end of the handle and help). Also, if you're aspiring to a very dirty carpet, the dirt cup and fill up quickly lose suction. Now the "pros" vac that really does things! I am amazed by the amount of dog hair, crumbs, etc., this thing will shoot! Perfect for the kitchen (Farewell, tumbleweeds dog!) Get clean carpets without the vacuum cleaner, great on tile, hardwood and carpet nap low brushroll sucked I also like the on / off, so I could go hardwood carpet simple. Calls to the banks themselves. The head of the vacuum is smaller than I thought, so if you can not get a clean edge is next to her, I can clean by to pick up the lake. Now things like dog food and soft air pellets (two boys) will rattle around when you vac, so I usually end up in emptying the dust container when that happens. Noise is moderate, at least it's a space. The noise increases a little when dust is good measure. First, is charged in less than six hours, and again, put it in the charging cradle and will be charged only what it needs to be (it goes off charge, when ACC is fully charged). Was not it enough to wear out the battery, which I use less than 10 minutes duration, have a 2 year warranty on used what I think is trying to remain above average. After my studies I vac, carpet, and after about every other program in the normal soil, I use my big VAC really clean the filter and filter screen as one key to a strong suction power with this kind of vacuum cleaners. This stuff takes up so much dog hair and dirt that I usually empty, dirt Cup at least once, if I use it with my office carpet, but not for my 21 LUG - Pound Sears Vac is fairly worth it. If the dirty glass was bigger, it would be almost perfect! Swiffer Sweeper polishing currently use for my hardwoods, and it seems that the VAC will pay for itself within six months of not having to buy those refills all the time! So I guess the only thing left to discover is how long it will last! PS: The dirt cup release button seems to press him down, but in reality you have to press up on it, or it may break! In addition, deep-patterned carpet, do not do a good job, but still scatter rugs and anything else I said, it means so I hope it helps! 43 of 43 people found this review helpful.
